Kjaer Weis: Cream Blushes

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably see me talking about my Kjaer Weis blushes now and then. They are part of my everyday makeup routine and Kjaer Weis is one of my favorite organic luxury makeup brands.

Kjaer Weis: Minimalistic, Luxurious and Made to Last

The brand was founded by Danish makeup artist Kirsten Kjaer Weis who wanted to create a makeup line with natural and organic ingredients, as well as being sustainable. One of the most prominent features of their products is their luxurious and heavy packaging. It was designed by award-winning creative director Marc Atlan who also did the design for brands like Hourglass or Comme de garçons. Kirsten Kjaer Weis did not just want to create good-looking packaging, she wanted to create something sustainable and this is where the idea of the refill packaging system came from. You only purchase your metallic compact once and when you run out of your product you can buy a more affordable refill.

I have several products from this brand but I specifically want to talk about their cream blushes as I think they are some of the best organic, natural blushes out there in terms of colour, performance and longevity.

Most of their products are certified organic and others are certified natural. If you are specifically interested in the ingredient list I am listing it for the color Blossoming here:

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Mica, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Oil·, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil·, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch·, Cera Alba (Beeswax) ·, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil·, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax·, Rosa Rubiginosa (Rose Hip) Seed Oil·, Polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract·, Dextrin, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, CI 77491 (Iron Oxide), CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 75470 (Carmine). Caution-Contains Carmine

You can find more details on their website or any other retailer.

My Collection

Let's talk about the KW cream blushes I own! I own four different colours, and I am very happy with this collection as I cannot use up more products simultaneously. You have to keep in mind that these products are organic so the shelf life is shorter compared to a conventional beauty product. After opening it should be used within 12 months. I've had mine for more than 12 months and even though the smell changes slightly, they still work perfectly for me. I recommend using organic products consistently though.

Top to bottom: Blossoming, Joyful, Desired Glow, Abundance

Blossoming is the perfect rosy color for a fresh face. I love wearing this when I am a bit paler (which is most of the year - who are we kidding?) as it instantly provides this fresh-faced look that you get when you come home from a walk.

Joyful has a bit of a coral/reddish undertone and works for a lot of skin tones.

Desired Glow is a peachy, nude color that works all year around but especially for a sun kissed look. I usually use this whenever I have a bit of redness on my face to counteract this.

Abundance is a color that is probably very underrated. It's a darker rosewood color with a sheen to it that could be used as a blush and contour in one. It's perfect to give your cheeks some definition.

I did not retouch any of the images to show you the actual color while being exposed to sunlight.

What are your favorite blushes? And are you #teamcream or #teampowder ?

I am definitely team cream because I love how natural it looks and how seamlessly it blends into my skin.
